Clinical research is essential to improving health outcomes, advancing medical treatments, and ensuring that care is safe and effective for everyone. In 2017, the Nevada Legislature asked the state to reduce barriers that make it hard for some communities to take part in clinical trials (NRS 439.263). The Division of Public and Behavioral Health (DPBH) leads this work. DPBH partners with the Nevada Office of Minority Health and Equity (NOMHE) to support this effort. NOMHE helps by creating easy‑to‑understand educational materials, working with community groups, and offering feedback for the DPBH clinical research webpage.
View or print NOMHE’s simple, easy‑to‑read brochure that explains how clinical research works below. On the DPBH clinical research page, you can learn about different kinds of clinical research, find current opportunities to participate, and understand the laws that keep the process safe and fair.
