About Us

The Department of Human Services (DHS) is an office of the Executive Branch of State Government and is led by a Director appointed by the Governor. The Director also serves as a member of the Governor’s Cabinet. DHS is one of the largest departments in state government comprised of four Divisions: Aging and Disability Services, Child and Family Services, Public and Behavioral Health, and Social Services.
