Community Action Agencies create, coordinate, and deliver services to low-income Nevadans statewide.
The federal Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) program was created to assist low-income individuals and families to succeed in their struggle against poverty. CSBG funds are awarded to county governments and nonprofit agencies to create, coordinate, and deliver services to low-income Nevadans. The Director's Office GMU awards funding to each agency to deliver community-based programs and network with other local agencies to address poverty issues.
